Flow Coefficient Determination in Catchment Based on Analysis of Temperature and Wind Speed Data Using the Fuzzy SMRGT Method

Abstract In engineering hydrology, calculating the flow coefficient is a crucial step. The calculation necessary for directing rational profiteering of water resources, improving overall efficiency resource utilization, and minimizing effect catastrophic events. By precisely determining coefficient, which most influential factor in flood flow, current issues will be mitigated substantially. Various techniques are available existing literature modelling coefficient. Most them, however, rely on black-box approaches that not generalizable. Therefore, this paper applied an intelligent model based fuzzy logic system called Simple Membership Function Fuzzy Rules Generation Technique (SMRGT). new technique considers physical cause-effect relationship intended to aid individuals who struggle choose number, form, membership functions rules any set. study area’s temperature wind speed data were incorporated into SMRGT model’s input variables. output was prediction made by validated against observational data. comparison relies numerous statistics errors. results indicated predicts extraordinarily well excellent method generating rules.
